Specimen Preparation: Separate serum or plasma from cells within 2 hours of collection. Transfer 2 mL serum or plasma to an ARUP Standard Transport Tube. (Min: 1 mL)

: Separate serum or plasma from gel within 6 hours and hold at room temperature or separate within 2 hours and store refrigerated.


Storage/Transport Temperature: Refrigerated.

Unacceptable Conditions: Whole blood. Light blue (citrate) or yellow (SPS or ACD solution).

Stability (collection to initiation of testing): After separation from cells: Ambient: 12 hours; Refrigerated: 72 hours; Frozen: 5 days
