| Specimen Required: |
Collect: Clippings from all 10 fingernails or toenails.
Specimen Preparation: Transfer 0.5 g nails to a plastic metal-free container. (Min: 0.1 g) Indicate source of nails on outside of container.
Storage/Transport Temperature: Room temperature. Also acceptable: Refrigerated or frozen specimens.
Stability (collection to initiation of testing): If the specimen is collected and stored in the appropriate container, the trace element values do not change with time.
