Collect: Plain red. Also acceptable: Green (sodium heparin).
Specimen Preparation: Transfer 1 mL serum or plasma to an ARUP Standard Transport Tube. (Min: 0.5 mL)
Storage/Transport Temperature: Frozen.
Unacceptable Conditions: Gray (sodium fluoride/potassium oxalate), lavender (EDTA), or separator tubes. Hemolyzed specimens.
Stability (collection to initiation of testing): After separation from cells: Ambient: 8 hours; Refrigerated: 24 hours; Frozen: 1 month
