#ExistInterpData>Coccidioides immunodiffusion measures IgM (IDTP) and IgG (IDCF) antibodies. Positive IDTP may suggest acute primary infection and may be detected within one to three weeks after the onset of primary infection. IDTP are rarely detected six months after infection. IDTP may also reappear with relapse or may persist in disseminated infections. Positive IDCF may be present in a recent infection and may persist for months or years after primary infection. Negative fungal serology does not rule out the possibility of current infection.
