Unacceptable Conditions: Breast milk and salivary fluid. Specimens containing sodium fluoride/potassium oxalate as anticoagulants. Contaminated or hemolyzed specimens. Specimens too viscous to be aspirated by instrument.

Stability (collection to initiation of testing): After separation from cells: Ambient: 24 hours; Refrigerated: 1 week; Frozen: 6 months
