Animal Reference Pathology

For 25 years the ARUP Laboratories Animal Reference Pathology Division has been providing quality and timely pathology services to the veterinary community, positively impacting the lives of pets and pet owners throughout the country. Having reviewed and diagnosed close to one million cases, our pathologists have the experience veterinarians trust and pet owners should demand.

Animal Reference Pathology specializes in diagnostic veterinary histopathology and cytopathology but also provides contract research histopathology, specialty testing, and other industry and academia projects.

Test Menu

Our test menu primarily supports veterinary diagnostic and research histopathology and cytology, but also includes:

Professional Consultation

The Animal Reference Pathology staff consists of experienced, highly trained ACVP board-certified veterinary pathologists with varied interests, including hematology, dermatopathology, neoplasia, hepatic and enteric pathology, reptile and amphibian medicine, food animal diseases, and viral, bacterial, and fungal diseases. Clients may contact any of these pathologists directly for consultation. Additionally, our veterinary pathologists are pioneers in the pathology and epidemiology of feline injection-site sarcomas and well-differentiated oral melanomas, and have authored or co-authored articles on these and other subjects of interest to the profession.
